Summer is officially coming to an end which only means one thing: Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) is here.
The fall favorite, which returned on August 30, 2022 as we reported previously, as a sign of the inflation times is actually more expensive this year! Starbucks customers are saying “Say it ain’t so!”
PSL-loving customers will now have to shell out $5.45 to $5.95 (depending on location) for the drink. This is approximately 4% more compared to 2021.
New York magazine writer Josef Adalian posted on Twitter that the 4% increase is actually “impressive” given the standard 9% inflation rate. “Also, Starbucks raises prices almost yearly!” Well, it doesn’t hurt any less, Joe.

Privously, Instagram user @Markie_devo broke the news about exactly when the PSL would be added to menus.
In a recent Instagram post, @Markie_devo shared that the Starbucks Fall menu will launch on August 30, 2022.

Aside from the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte, the brand is also offering several other beverages such as the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, (reformulated) Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, Chai Tea Latte, and Iced Chai Tea Latte. As for the packaged coffee, Starbucks will be selling ground Guatemala Casi Cielo, Reserve Zambia Ngoli Estate, Reserve Vietnam Da Lat, and Reserve Hawai’i Ka’u.
To pair with your drink of choice, the Fall menu will also have delicious food such as the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Pumpkin Scone, and the new Owl Cake Pop.
Additionally, @Markie_devo noted in his caption that the price of the PSL is increasing by 80 cents and that not all stores will carry the merch featured in his post.
