We all know that we should eat well to be healthy. And whether you’re a skincare novice or an expert, you also probably know that collagen is an essential when it comes to keeping your skin looking youthful.

While maintaining a skincare regime packed with cleansers, toners and moisturizers is important, making sure we’re consuming vitamins that are helping our skin from the inside is just as key to maintaining ageless skin. So if you’re worried about impending aging and want wrinkle-free skin (no matter what your age is!) you need to start taking vitamin E.

Founder of SUNNIE Wrinkle Reducing Studio, Dr. Alexis Parcells, shared just how important vitamin E is when it comes to aging. “Vitamin E is a great anti-aging supplement. It has anti-tumor and photoprotective properties with the ability to protect the skin from the sun’s UV radiation. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that comes from plants and must be obtained through your diet.” When vitamin E is combined with vitamin C and used under sunscreen, it can provide four times the protection of sunscreen alone!

Vitamin E isn’t just amazing when it comes to protecting your skin from UV radiation, it also does wonders with preserving your skin’s moisture. “Vitamin E keeps lipids fresh in your skin, which helps to keep your skin's protective barrier sealed and retains moisture. Additionally, it has been proven to accelerate the healing of skin damage such as burns and wounds.”

Plus, it’s an antioxidant, which means it helps neutralize harmful free radicals and discourage sebum (oil) oxidation, which prevents blackheads.
