Taco Bell Just Made The Most Insane Change To It’s Menu--Customers Are So Mad!

Taco Bell is cutting even more items from its menu–say it ain’t so!

The fast food chain just announced more changes to its food offering amid the novel coronavirus outbreak. Here’s everything fans of the ‘Bell need to know:

If you recall, the company announced earlier this summer that it would be simplifying their menu “to streamline operations” starting on August 13th amid the global pandemic.

“With safety top of mind, we want to ensure an easy and fast ordering experience for our guests and team members,” the company said via statement at the time.

This meant cutting 13 items from its menu: Grilled Steak Soft Taco, 7-Layer Burrito, Nachos Supreme, Beefy Fritos Burrito, Spicy Tostada, Triple Layer Nachos, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, Cheesy Potato Loaded Griller, Beefy Nacho Loaded Griller, Chips and Dips, and Mini Skillet Bowl.

And now comes news of even more safety and cost efficiency measures--aka, some of your favorite foods will not be available much longer!

On September 3rd, the chain announced it has revamped the menu further in order to create a "faster and more seamless restaurant experience."

As part of that revamp, the fast food restaurant revealed that it will be cutting menu items nationwide on November 5th, such as Mexican Pizza, Pico de Gallo, Shredded Chicken Soft Taco, Shredded Chicken Burrito, and Shredded Chicken Quesadilla Melt.

The company explained the decisions further. Mexican Pizza, for example, is being removed "because of its environmental impact." The packaging for Mexican Pizza accounts for over seven million pounds of paperboard each year. Yikes!

For the Pico de Gallo, the chain said you can still get a similar experience by asking for meals "Fresco Style, aka no cheese or sour cream and just diced tomato.

Last but not least, the company announced that it will cutting shredded chicken! This means several menu items-- Shredded Chicken Soft Taco, Shredded Chicken Burrito, and Shredded Chicken Quesadilla Melt--will be cut in one fell swoop.

But it's not all bad news! On November 5th you can order a special Chicken Chipotle Melt, with marinated all-white meat grilled chicken, chipotle sauce, and cheddar cheese rolled and melted together. A new item, Dragonfruit Freeze ("a tropical frozen beverage swirled with a burst of dragonfruit flavor"), became available on September 24th.
