As of this month, the iconic Taco Bell is adding three revamped and new tacos to its menu! As you may recall, 2022 marks the 10-year anniversary of the popular chain’s addition of the “Doritos Locos Taco,” and the item has since garnered quite the following.
Now, as of February 10th, Taco Bell’s first new, limited-time taco offering is the “Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco,” a revamped version of the classic, but one that joins in on the seemingly ubiquitous ‘flaming hot’ trend (popularized by the Tik Tok-famous hot Cheetos snack).

How the ‘hot’ and ‘cool’ flavor aspects of this option will blend seems rather intriguing. The “Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco” has a crunchy shell made of Doritos Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch-flavored tortilla chips and it comes loaded with the following fillings—seasoned beef, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese.
The second new taco to hit the fast food chain’s menu is called the “Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco.” Last year, Taco Bell fans went wild on Twitter when they released crispy chicken wings, so it seems with this item that they are hoping for a similar effect. In this new soft taco, crispy chicken is marinated in jalapeño buttermilk, then rolled in a crispy tortilla chip coating and topped off with lettuce, cheddar cheese and diced tomatoes.

Lastly, the third new taco is the “Cantina Crispy Chicken Tortada,” which (unlike the other two which are available nationwide), this is currently on a test run in Sacramento, CA for now. This item, like the previous one on this list is also filled with crispy chicken and served on a warm flour tortilla. The main difference with this taco is that this is grilled.
Taco Bell frequenters will have to see if the last taco ever makes it to the national menu but for now, the “Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco” and “Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco” can be tried at your local chain restaurant.
