The Age of Adaline star's  court battle with the Jane the Virgin actor reportedly began in December 2024, with the "Lavender Haze" singer's name being dragged into the dispute against her will.

At one point, Baldoni's legal team suggested that Swift had sided with Lively and pressured him to accept some of her script changes for the movie. That claim was dismissed, but things escalated when Baldoni's lawyers issued a subpoena to Swift.

The subpoena was reportedly later dropped, and Swift's rep blasted the move as an attempt to "use Taylor Swift's name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case."

Are Blake Lively And Taylor Swift Still Friends?

Swift's new song "Ruin the Friendship" will reportedly feature on her highly-anticipated upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, which she announced to her fans earlier this month.

Swift may be trying to steer fans away from thinking that the song is about the mom-of four though, as she revealed on boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast that she recorded the album while on the European leg of her Eras Tour, which was when the It Ends With Us drama began.

In April, an insider told People that the "Cruel Summer" hitmaker "was really hurt" after she was implicated in Lively and Baldoni's legal case. One month later, another insider told the mag that their once enviable friendship "has halted." Another source chimed in, saying the two ladies were "taking some space," but were "not no longer friends."

Fast-forward a couple of months, and yet another source insisted the two were "on good terms," though they admitted that their friendship "isn't the same as it was before." In other words, Lively may not be holding her next birthday party at Swift's Rhode Island mansion!
