Taylor Swift Announces Her New Album Title In A Viral Teaser Clip For Her 'New Heights' Podcast Episode

The singer-songwriter has been keeping a somewhat low profile these days, having finished her long, impressive, and worldwide Eras Tour at the end of last year. Fans figured she'd be resting and taking some time off from working, especially considering that towards the end of her massive tour, she released The Tortured Poets Department, her 11th studio album. Well, as it turns out, she's not done and has been working hard to give her fans something new this entire time.

Earlier this week, her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason, two professional football players, teased that the "Midnights" vocalist would be a special guest on their podcast, New Heights, where they sprinkle in some life updates and personal conversations during their mostly football-centered discussions. This was very exciting, as Taylor has rarely given a podcast interview, aside from one or two with music journalists to promote her music.

On Instagram, the New Heights account posted a blacked-out photo of her silhouette and wrote that a "special episode with a VERY special guest" would be released on Wednesday. The following day, they posted a clip of Taylor and Travis on a video call with Jason, as Taylor pulled out a mint-green briefcase with an orange "T.S." written across it.

As she held up a vinyl album with the artwork blurred out, in the viral Instagram clip, Taylor says, "This is my brand new album, The Life Of A Showgirl." In response, Jason lets out a shriek and Travis exclaims, "T.S. 12!"

Fans React To Taylor's Album News As Her Website Crashes

There are few fan bases as loyal as 'Swifties,' as they not only tend to predict when a new era of hers is coming, but once it's announced, they will do whatever they can to get their hands on her music as soon as possible. Along with revealing the singer's 12th album title meticulously at 12:12am on August 12th, in the super viral Instagram clip, the podcast informed fans that they could order the album for pre-sale on her website, reportedly causing it to crash.

While the exact release date of The Life Of A Showgirl has yet to be revealed, in the description of her vinyl pre-sale, it's noted that shipments will be made before October 13th of this year, but that it is not the official release date.

Therefore, Swfties will still have to wait for the date to be announced, giving them some time to look into more Easter eggs and conspiracy theories the 35-year-old may drop. For now, we can confirm that the color scheme is definitely a fall-coded orange and mint green, perfect for the upcoming season, and that, according to her website, the album artwork and vinyl detailing "will be announced at a future date."

For now, fans are on the edge of their seat for more information, hoping Taylor will give them more when her episode of the New Heights podcast airs tomorrow evening, Wednesday, August 13th. How fitting - her lucky number!

Swifties had mixed reactions to the Grammy-winner revealing the name of her new album on Travis' podcast, with some calling it "unorthodox" and "unconventional" on Reddit, while others said it was a "fun" idea and enjoyed how he was "supporting" her. Regardless, buckle up, everyone, as a new Taylor era is on its way, and she's just getting started.
