Taylor Swift Reportedly Worries About Travis Kelce's Retirement Decision

Travis hasn't made any official announcements about whether or not he's retiring yet, but even if it's not this year, it's still coming in the near future. And his future wife, pop star Taylor Swift, is reportedly worried about what that means for him.

"She thinks he has a huge world waiting for him outside football, but also worries how he'll fare emotionally when he does hang up his cleats," a source said to Star Magazine. "It's been the cornerstone of his life for so long now." It's something Taylor Swift can certainly understand, as she's been performing for over two decades at this point in her career. The only difference? She doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon. Travis Kelce, however, has to answer to his body, and at 36 years old, he's on the higher end in terms of age when it comes to football.

Travis Kelce's Retirement Decision

On a recent episode of the podcast he shares with his brother, Jason Kelce, Travis lightly touched on the topic of his future in football, but still hasn't given fans an answer about whether or not they'll see him on the field again. "Every season ends for me, I just put my feet up, and I just be a human," Travis told his brother.

"Just being a regular human for a couple weeks, maybe a month or so, just trying to figure out what I'm going to do next in terms of my future in football," he said.

It's not the first time he's addressed the future of his career on the show. In a December episode, he and Jason were discussing his teammate Patrick Mahomes' season-ending ACL tear on December 14th.

"You know, hopefully, the Chiefs can get him back as soon as possible," Travis said to Jason. "I know right now it's kind of right around that one week or the beginning of the season next year. I know he's gonna be doing everything he can to get back out on that field for the Chiefs as soon as possible."

Jason then weighed in on his experience in the NFL: "The other thing I always think about whenever I played in games like this or seasons that have gone south, you know, even in the years where everything doesn't work out, you still have a team. You're still close with the guys."

"I always thought similar to what you're saying, Trav," he continued. "Like, we only got three weeks left of this year's team to play football. Like next year, it's gonna look different. Right? Guys are gonna be back. Guys aren't gonna be back." Does Jason know something we don't?
