If you are hoping to lose weight, it’s important to pay attention to what is going in your body–what you eat and drink. Although most people know that they should be paying attention to what they shouldn’t drink (aka anything that is full of empty calories), they might not realize what they should drink instead. Besides water, there are plenty of healthy drinks you could use to supplement your diet.

Specifically, adding certain teas to your diet could help you get another dose of nutrients and even boost your metabolism, aiding weight loss.

Oolong Tea

If you haven't tried oolong tea yet, here's a sign that you should.

According to Doctor Oz's website, "Oolong tea has been proven to boost your metabolism — which encourages weight loss, lowers cholesterol, aids in digestion, and can help stabilize blood sugar."

Studies show that oolong tea can have a positive impact on weight loss by helping you speed up your metabolism and burn fat.

Healthline explains, "In one study, 102 overweight or obese people drank oolong tea every day for six weeks, which may have helped reduce both their body weight and body fat. The researchers proposed the tea did this by improving the metabolism of fat in the body."

That's not all. The article continues, "Another small study gave men either water or tea for a three-day period, measuring their metabolic rates. Compared to water, oolong tea increased energy expenditure by 2.9%, the equivalent of burning an additional 281 calories per day, on average."

While staying hydrated and drinking enough water is crucial for weight loss, don't shy away from incorporating some tea into your diet as well--it might even help speed up the process!

With that in mind, if you are hoping to lose weight and want to add a hot drink to your daily routine, check here to order a box of oolong tea!
