If you love to snack, there's no need to feel guilty about it - as long as you're making healthy choices, of course! Snacking done right can deliver essential nutrients to your body while keeping you satiated throughout the day. And there's plenty of tasty options to help do the trick. Here, we reveal the best midday munchie you should be eating in order to burn belly fat.

And the winner is...peanut butter and celery! Turns out, your favorite childhood snack is also an amazing option now that you're (only slightly) older. First off, celery is very low in calories but high in fiber, so it'll help you stay fuller for longer. And peanut butter, which is loaded with protein and healthy fats, will do just the same without loading on the calories!

"Swapping out high-carb snacks for ones that contain protein, fiber, and healthy fats can reduce appetite and increase metabolism," Emily Rubin, R.D., clinical dietitian at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, told Women'sHealth.com. "Snacks high in protein and fiber, in particular, can leave you feeling satisfied so you eat less during the day and are less likely to overeat at mealtime."

Rubin recommended eating anywhere rom 50 to 150 carbs a day to keep your waistline slim. For reference, two stalks of celery topped with two tablespoons of natural peanut butter only contain eight grams of carbs. So just imagine how many of these snacks you'll be able to have in a day!
