In case you’ve missed it, the teens on TikTok have declared that skinny jeans are officially over.

Now listen, I’m not promoting the concept that any group of people on a specific social media platform should dictate what individuals choose to wear… BUT I distinctly remember when skinny jeans became popular over a decade ago, and honestly I’m excited for something new.

As a millennial, I will probably still wear my skinny jeans whenever and wherever I want, but the idea of giving my denim collection a slight overhaul is exciting. Aka, I’ll take any excuse to go shopping.

So, without any further ado… baggy jeans are spring’s biggest trend!

The Gen Z users on TikTok and Instagram Reels have created countless videos about how you should swap out your skinny jeans for baggier styles. The argument being that skinny jeans aren’t just basic anymore–they’re something worse.

Don’t feel attacked, fellow millennials! The real reason you should shop for baggy jeans right now is because some amazing, high-quality denim brands like AGOLDE and Madewell have pairs that fit SO well, and are so flattering and fresh and cool for spring you might actually start to think that the generation who ate Tide Pods is on to something… Only kidding.
