Incorporating more salads into your regular diet can be a great way to start losing weight. However, it’s important to keep in mind that, depending on your choice of dressing, you could be consuming more calories than you originally thought–turning your meal into less than diet friendly.

With that in mind, keep reading for the one salad dressing you should never use because it causes fat gain!

Caesar dressing is definitely a salad dressing that you should keep in moderation. It's high in calories, fat, and sodium--turning your healthy meal into the opposite.

 

A two-tablespoon serving of caesar dressing can contain as much as 170 calories, 18 grams of fat and 270 milligrams of sodium.

It's also important to note that a lot of people go over the label's serving size, so they might be consuming more calories, fat, and sodium than expected.

 

With that in mind, adding caesar dressing to your salad could be detrimental to your weight loss, and could potentially ruin your "healthy" salad.

Instead of sticking to store-bought caesar dressings, try to make your own recipe for a healthier version of caesar dressing, so you can control exactly what is going in your dressing and your salad.

Plus, if you really want to limit extra calories from dressing, you could always stick to some olive oil and balsamic.
