Au Bon Pain is a staple in any NYC-dweller's diet. It's delicious, there's one at almost every street corner, and you're never waiting more than 5 minutes for one of their amazing sandwiches.

But are you compromising your diet at NYC's favorite café? Most of the items on the Au Bon Pain menu are bread-based (it's name literally translates to "The Good Bread"), so you'd probably assume the worst thing to order there has bread. But the actual food you should be avoiding there will shock you!
Stay away from the large Mac and Cheese! One 16oz cup of this stuff adds up to 1,170 calories. It also has very high levels of fat and sodium, so it should definitely be avoided at all costs.
The Mac and Cheese has more calories than all of their baked goods, including their chocolate croissants.
Au Bon Pain has options on their menu that won't ruin your daily diet. Try ordering the Barley and Creamy Lentil Soup, it only has 280 calories in a large serving to keep you happy and healthy throughout your day!
