Maggiano's Little Italian is known for their family style Italian food, which means big portions and lots and lots of pasta. You should never order the Prime New York Steak Contadina style at Maggiano's. “Contadina style" means with “two Italian Sausage links, Crispy Red Vesuvio-Style Potatoes, Roasted Red and Yellow Peppers, Roasted Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Steak Jus, and Garlic Butter,” The dish packs packs 2,420 calories. According to NutritionAction.com, "The 1,250-calorie steak alone is like eating five McDonald’s Quarter Pounder beef patties. The 1,170-calorie Contadina-style “garnish” adds another four Quarter Pounder patties, with a cheeseburger on the side."

You should also skip Maggiano's Rustic Chicken & Shrimp Al Forno. It clocks in at nearly 2,000 calories. This massive pasta dish contains ziti, prosciutto, Asiago cheese, and red pepper cream. According to Eat This, Not That "a 150-pound woman would need to run for nearly three hours to burn it off." Add an appetizer and dessert and you can easily eat half a week's worth of calories in one meal at Maggiano's.

Another no-no at Maggiano's is the Chocolate Zuccotto Cake. Weighing in at almost a pound, this chocolate cake contains 1,820 calories, 62 grams of saturated fat and 26 teaspoons of sugar. CNN even named it one of the Xtreme Eating "dis-honorees."
