One of the most shocking pieces of celebrity news that came out this year was undoubtedly Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s divorce. Now, her ex-husband is reportedly chiming in.
Insiders have revealed that Tom Cruise, who was married to the Babygirl actress for 11 years, has begun commenting on her and the country singer’s divorce. As it turns out, the claims are alleging that the action actor was not a big fan of the musician, and also felt that their split was an act of ‘karma’ for his ex. Read more about the situation below.
Tom Cruise Reportedly Was 'Annoyed' By The Way Nicole Kidman Handled Their Divorce
If you were keeping up with pop culture in the 1990s, then you likely know that one of the biggest 'it' couples was undoubtedly Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise, who were married between 1990 and 2001. The couple met in the late 1980s while filming the movie Days of Thunder, and during their 11-year marriage, they adopted two children who are now adults.
Although their official statement regarding their divorce stated that their split was amicable, rumors and reports began coming out about how unhappy Nicole had become, and in one interview, she called the entire situation "a little death." Now that she has officially filed for divorce from Keith Urban, with whom she was married for 19 years and shares two daughters with, the Top Gun star is allegedly reflecting on his former relationship with her and the aftermath of their breakup.
"When Tom and Nicole split, he caught all the blame, and she got all the sympathy," an insider told the International Business Times. "He was painted as the bad guy. That stuck with him for years. Tom was really stung by the way Nicole handled their breakup. She went on TV, made digs about his height, and painted herself as the victim, while he stayed silent and took the hits. It annoyed him when this guy was painted as this saintly figure who'd swooped in on a white horse, so to speak, and rescued Nicole from the hellish memory of their marriage."

Tom Cruise Allegedly Believes Nicole & Keith's Split Is A Form Of 'Karma'
In addition to looking back on the aftermath of their publicized divorce, inside sources also claim that Tom is staying updated on the headlines about the Australian-American actress and following the situation closely.
"He's following the divorce news closely, and a part of him feels bad for her, since he knows how much she's hurting," the source told the above publication.
However, aside from feeling sympathy, the 63-year-old is also feeling like there's perhaps a bit of revenge happening, or that his ex's latest split is some kind of universal sign.
"At the same time, he's also allowing himself a little pat on the back and telling people close to him that this is karma doing its thing," the insider added. "Bottom line: He thought they were a hyped up couple who clearly had very little in common from the get-go — now he's been proved right."
Although this is coming from an insider and Tom has yet to make an official public statement regarding Nicole and Keith's divorce, sources are noting that there are some mixed feelings going on.
