Hillary Clinton Slams Donald Trump For Demolishing East Wing of White House
The entire East Wing of the White House, a 123-year-old structure, has been reduced to rubble to make way for Donald Trump's $300M ballroom (which he swears is being privately funded by "many generous Patriots, Great American Companies, and, yours truly," as he put it on Truth Social). Most American citizens are rightfully enraged, including former First Lady Hillary Clinton.
Clinton took to X, formerly Twitter, to call Americans to action, writing, "It's not his house. It's your house. And he's destroying it."
While her sentiment is absolutely correct, many online trolls couldn't help but point out that Hillary might want to look inward, or at least to the other side of her bed, before calling others out for defiling the White House.
Social Media Reactions
Referencing the 1998 scandal that involved Bill Clinton, who was president at the time, and one of his interns, Monica Lewinsky, social media users called out Hillary for not bringing the same energy to the infamous sex scandal that her husband orchestrated in the Oval Office. "Given her husband's tutelage of the interns in the Oval Office, if anyone treated the WH as sacred it was the Clintons," one person tweeted in response.
"Pretty funny and hypocritical of her," another wrote.
"A Clinton is talking about history in the White House?" added a third user with a few laughing emojis.
"Remarkably, lecturing from a Clinton about what's appropriate in the White House," agreed a fourth.
"Your husband had sex in the Oval Office," a final user posted. "Prolly should sit this one out."
