Tyra Banks celebrated her milestone 50th birthday with stunning makeup-free selfies and a heartfelt letter written to her fans.
The supermodel and style icon showed off her natural beauty last month with a new Instagram photo collection post showing her donning a cozy gray robe and wearing her voluminous, caramel-colored curly tresses down.
In her letter, the Life-Size alum shared her thoughts on what reaching this special 50th trip around the sun meant to her. “I can’t believe I’ve been on this earth that many years,” Banks wrote in her post caption. “I remember like yesterday my mom‘s 50th birthday party and we celebrated her in the biggest way. It was a big one. And now it’s mine.”

The iconic America’s Next Top Model host empathized with those who “fear” aging and “getting older” while reflecting on the topic. “I gotta say, my mind is FIERCER THAN EVER. Wise, baby,” Banks stressed. “I think we have to look at aging and these big milestone years like, ‘I GET to be that age.’ A Blessing.”
The Vogue cover girl continued, writing to fans: “If you’re younger than me, I HOPE you get to reach my age and BEYOND. Because it feels damn good.” She then joked: “What doesn’t feel so good is the damn sciatica I got from falling in a scene in Life-Size 2!!!” For any fans in a rough patch, Banks (who called herself ‘Auntie Ty Ty’) offered more advice with her own career in mind.
“You don’t have to stay stuck. You can start off doing one thing, and as the years go by, you switch that ish up,” she explained. As for her letter, Banks noted in it that for 2024, she hopes she and her following “are gonna DREAM really BIG…together.”
