Although broccoli might not be the first food you think of when it comes to breakfast, this healthy vegetable is a great addition to your diet.

 

According to Medical News Today, broccoli's metabolism-boosting power comes from a substance called glucoraphanin:"Glucoraphanin helps to 'retune' metabolism, lower blood fat levels, and reduce the risk of many age-related diseases."

"It's low in calories and high in water and fiber content to help you feel full, plus it ups your ability to burn fat," Delish explains.

 

With that in mind, adding some broccoli in to your favorite egg dishes could make a big difference in how quickly you are able to lose weight.

This delicious addition to eggs is a great way to add more veggies into your diet, increasing your satiety and giving your metabolism a boost.

If you aren't a fan of broccoli, there are some other vegetable options that can also add some flavor and metabolism-boosting nutrients.

 

Leafy greens, like spinach and kale, are also metabolism-friendly ingredients, "Spinach, kale, and other leafy green vegetables may boost metabolism thanks to their iron content. Iron is an essential mineral for metabolism, growth, and development," Medical News Today explains.
