David Beckham was officially knighted by King Charles on Tuesday during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle. While the soccer legend looked dapper for the occasion, it was his wife, Victoria Beckham, who stole the show with her elegant ensemble.
The fashion designer wore a custom navy version of her namesake label’s best-selling Bela dress, featuring a high neckline, ruched waist, sleeveless silhouette, and a gracefully draped skirt. She completed the look with black pumps and a matching navy hat adorned with a fascinator. David, meanwhile, looked sharp in a three-piece custom morning suit—notably, the first tailored menswear piece created by Victoria Beckham’s brand.
David Beckham Explains The Story Behind His Suit
While the couple looked effortlessly elegant, the father of four took a moment after the ceremony to reflect on the honor, sharing his gratitude and emotions over receiving such a prestigious recognition from the King.
“To be honest, a young boy from the east end of London, born in Leytonstone and here at Windsor Castle, being honored by His Majesty the King, the most important and the most respected institution in the world, it’s quite a moment. This is without a doubt my proudest moment,” he said.
His suit also carries a sentimental story, as David shared the heartfelt inspiration behind its design. He revealed that the British monarch “was quite impressed with my suit. He’s kind of the most elegantly dressed man that I know, so he inspired quite a few of my looks over the years, and he definitely inspired this look. It was something that my wife made for me. I looked at old pictures of him [Charles] when he was quite young in morning suits, and I was like, ‘OK, that’s what I want to wear,’ so I gave it to my wife, and she did it.”
