Twice a year, Victoria’s Secret gives us a sale of a lifetime to help us fill our closets with sexy, covetable lingerie (among other things) we can wear all year for just a fraction of the price. Called the Victoria’s Secret Semi Annual Sale, this event typically takes place on a pretty regular schedule, so we can expect it to come once every six months. We already got a pretty epic sale in December 2022, which means the next sale is just around the corner!
There’s nothing we love more than scouring for savings, so we have high expectations for the upcoming 2023 Victoria’s Secret Semi Annual Sale, which usually goes live between June and July. And if our estimations are correct, this year’s sale is going to be bigger and better than ever. Read ahead for all the details…
When Is The Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale?
The Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale will run In June 2023 and December 2023. If the 2023 sale dates are anything like last year, the first Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale will start in June, and the next one will be in December. Sexy lingerie for both spring/summer and fall/winter? Count us in!
When Was The Last Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale?
Last year, the summer sale was launched on June 14th, and went all the way through to July 18th. And just so you know, last year's winter sale started online on December 26th (but not 'til December 29th in stores) and lasted until January 11th, 2023.
The year before, for what it’s worth, the Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale started on June 24th, which was a little late compared to previous years. (FYI, the winter sale started on December 26th and lasted until December 28th, and then it hit the stores on December 29th.) Perhaps Victoria's Secret wanted to give people something to get excited about during the pandemic, as the 2020 summer sale began much earlier, as early as June 6th, 2020, and very generously ran for a few weeks. Because who didn’t love splashing out on discounted lingerie during the pandemic?!
When Did The Sale Start In Previous Years?
As regular Victoria's Secret shoppers and bargain hunters alike will know, the June Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale doesn't always run on a very regular schedule. We've already covered the 2022 and 2021 sale dates, but let's take a look at the years before…
In 2020, Victoria's Secret launched its sale on June 6th.
In 2019, the sale started much earlier, on June 2nd.
In 2018, savings began on June 4th.
In 2017, the sale started on June 5th.
Should I Sign Up For A Victoria’s Secret Angel Card?
The answer is a big fat yes! (And while you're at it, make sure you download the Victoria's Secret App too!) Sign up for a Victoria's Secret Angel card to get early access to sales and deals, and lots of other perks including a special birthday gift, which is usually a $10 reward for any purchase made in-store. It has a pretty cool rewards program too, with three tiers: Angel, Angel VIP, and Angel Forever. Cardholders reportedly earn 1 point per $1 spent and the rewards are calculated as follows: As an Angel or Angel VIP, you'll get a $10 reward for every 250 points, while a Forever Angel tier gets you $15 for every 250 points.
Tips For Shopping The Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale
We recommend following all the Victoria’s Secret social media channels to get the best chance of being one of the first to know about the exact sale dates. In our experience, we've found that the earlier you start shopping, the better, as stock tends to sell out pretty fast. Prices typically stay pretty consistent throughout the sale, so don’t hold out on further reductions once the sale has already started. However, we always have to warn shoppers that sizes will sell out fast, so if you see something you like and it's in your size, we recommend buying it before it sells out!
Another thing we advise shoppers to do is to browse the website before the sale starts, to familiarize yourself with the collection, so you know what to look out for. It wouldn’t hurt to already add them to your basket and leave them in there until the sale begins, to make it even easier to check out quickly. Because we all know that putting your stuff in the basket doesn’t secure it until you check out!
A final tip is to remember that nothing is guaranteed. If you've seen something you like and you have your heart set on it, we advise buying it before the sale, just in case someone else shares your good taste and snaps it up before you get a chance to!
What To Shop At The 2023 Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale
We can expect to see savings between 40% and 70% off during the Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale if the last sales are anything to go by! Here are some of the products we are expecting – and hoping – to see get marked down:
Bras – You can expect to see everything from push-up bras, T-shirt bras, plunge bras, sports bras, balcony bras, and even corset tops (so on trend right now!) among the styles that *should* be discounted in the upcoming sale.
Panties – From thongs and V-strings to slightly more conservative styles like briefs and shorts, there should be something in the sale to suit all tastes!
Beauty Products – Victoria's Secret already has some great deals on their beauty products, but it's bound to get even better when the sale officially starts! Here's hoping that we can get some of our favorite fragrances, mists, lotions, body scrubs, lip glosses, lip scrubs, and so much more in the sale when it goes live!
Swimwear – There are so many covetable pieces in the Victoria's Secret swimwear range, we don't even need a sale to tempt us into snapping up some pieces. But we're still hoping to find something at a reduced price; from bikini tops such as bandeaus, halter-necks, and underwired tops, to bikini bottoms including Brazilian, tie side, and high leg options, and of course, figure-flattering one-pieces, there is no shortage of options!
Sleepwear – From sexy sleepwear such as cami sets, nightgowns, and slips, to comfy casual pieces such as slippers and leggings, there are so many options to choose from already; and we expect the selection that will be available in the sale will be pretty impressive too!
