If you’re an iPhone user, then you probably realize how secure they are. However, there are still a lot of tech safety risks out there.
One of today’s iPhone users’ biggest fears is having their iPhone invaded or tracked, as many basically keep their entire lives and all their personal information on their phones. It’s not always obvious when an iPhone is being tracked by someone else, but there are a handful of warning signs. Read about two of them below.
1. There Are Unknown Apps Downloaded To Your Phone
It's never a bad idea to check in on the apps you have downloaded. Even if you have pages and pages of apps, you should not only keep an eye on what you have for storage reasons, but also for safety reasons, as suddenly having unknown apps on your homepage can be an indicator of hacking or someone tracking you.
"Some signs that an iPhone is compromised are a panoply of pop-ups, no apps that weren't installed by the user, new calendar events that you didn't create, and being asked to install new profiles," explains tech pro Baruch Labunski. "If your iPhone is telling you the system is infected, that's also a sign it may be compromised."

2. Your Camera & Microphone Turn On Unexpectedly
This is super important to look out for, as you certainly do not want someone tracking your device by listening to you via your microphone or seeing you on your camera. iPhones now have new indicators to let you know if these are on randomly, via green or orange dots in the upper right corner of your screen.
Tech pro and content creator, Trevor Nace, says, "Now, if you see those at the top of your phone but you're not making a call, or you're not on FaceTime or anything like that, that might be an indication that someone is using your microphone or camera to spy on you."
