If you’re tired of obsessing over calorie counting or pushing through punishing workouts, women’s weight loss coach Jenna (@itsjennacatherine) has a refreshing approach that’s all about consistency, balance, and mindset.

In a recent TikTok, Jenna—who’s been helping women achieve sustainable weight loss for over seven years—shared the four habits she swears by to stay in shape without logging every bite or doing “any types of crazy exercise.”

1. Walk Almost Every Day

“I will go on a walk almost every single day,” Jenna said. “I know it's hard to believe that something so simple is so beneficial to weight loss—but it's true.”

Not only does walking help with weight maintenance, she notes it also boosts heart health and mental clarity. “Walking is the most underrated form of exercise,” she emphasized.

2. Aim For 120 Grams Of Protein A Day

Getting enough protein is another key part of her routine. “I eat at least 120 grams of protein every single day,” she explained, admitting she used to follow misleading advice in college about post-workout meals.

Now, protein helps support her muscle maintenance and energy throughout the day: “This was my body back then… and this was before I got pregnant,” she shared, noting the visible difference in her results.

3. Prioritize Hydration

Jenna doesn’t underestimate the power of water, either. “The amount of people who walk around chronically dehydrated every single day is insane,” she said. “You don’t need to get a bunch of Botox, baby—just drink some water.”

She joked that if she were dehydrated, her face “would be a stack of pancakes.”

4. Redefine Sacrifice

Finally, Jenna shared a deeper mindset shift: learning the difference between sacrifice and restriction. “Sacrifice doesn’t always mean restriction,” she said, acknowledging how sensitive the topic can be.

Instead, she recommends a moment of reflection before making decisions around food or fitness. “Is this going to get me closer or further away from my goals?” she asks herself. “Sometimes that leads me to saying no, and that’s okay. Sometimes it leads me to saying yes—and that is the balance.”
