Wendy’s Customers Are Furious After Being Served ‘Pitiful’ And ‘Small’ Chicken Nuggets: ‘Why Even Eat Here Anymore?’

The food keeps shrinking and the prices keep going up! It seems that no fast food chain is innocent in the “shrinkflation” epidemic—and consumers online recently called out Wendy’s, in particular. Fans are up in arms in the comments of a Reddit post exposing “insane shrinkflation.”
The post, shared in the r/Wendys subreddit, shows a photo of four chicken nuggets that appear shockingly small—each roughly half the size of a Wendy’s signature dipping sauce cup placed beside them for scale. Read what Reddit users are saying about the sad portion size below.
Fast food lovers online seem to agree that the quality and value of Wendy’s meals have been tanking in recent years. “Wendy’s is just wretched these days,” one commenter wrote. “Why even eat here anymore? The food sucks, the value per dollar isn’t there, and that shredded lettuce is foul.”
Others chimed in to agree, lamenting: “Crazy how Wendy’s went from one of the best fast food places to pure trash.”
“It used to be my go-to, now it’s trash.”
While some blamed ongoing inflation for the shrinking portion sizes, others argued that Wendy’s has handled it worse than its competitors. “As is with every fast food chain and the grocery stores—inflation sucks and it happens every year,” one Redditor wrote. “Yet some places seem to do remarkably better at keeping the quality of food and prices the same than others.”
