Jennifer Aniston is undebatable one of the hottest women in Hollywood—always has been and always will be. So what exactly does she do to maintain the fit figure that earned her this title? Well, she workouts out. A lot. According to her trainer, Mandy Ingber, a lot of her workouts include yoga, and there’s two moves in particular that Jen swears by. Keep reading for more details.
Jennifer Aniston's Yoga Favorites
Mandy revealed that Jennifer Aniston's yoga routines aren't always easy. "We would do some power yoga, vinyasa flow, and then some yin yoga stretching, and then finish with the infrared sauna," Mandy explains.
And in picking specific moves, Mandy focus on poses that tone specific muscle groups. According to the trainer, Jennifer gravitates toward balancing poses "like tree, half-moon pose, and warrior III."
Tree pose is done by balancing on one foot and placing the other above or below the kneecap. You can hold your arms above your head, or press your palms together in front of the heart. It's great for balancing and for toning your core. Warrior III is another balance-heavy pose, where one must lean forward on one leg, stretching your arms out in front of you and your other leg out behind you.
"[Jennifer] does love a good tree," Mandy continued. "She also likes to plan as well, because plank will work the abs, or the forearm plank, so any variation on the plank or the forearm plank."
Jennifer Aniston's Thoughts On Yoga
Jennifer has said in the past that yoga is one of her favorite ways to move her body. On Mandy's website, Healthista, Jen is quoted saying, "When I started doing yoga with Mandy, I noticed many things... My legs getting leaner, my arms getting stronger, and most importantly, I noticed an inner strength."
Yoga is not just a workout for the body, it's a workout for the brain as well. Many see it as a form of meditation, and a lot of yoga is done with breath work. And Jen can attest: "I feel like I am getting a meditation, a workout, and time with my friend, all rolled into one hour," she said.
