Rumors about Ellen DeGeneres have picked up during quarantine with many people sharing their unpleasant experiences with the talkshow host. Although Ellen is famous for promoting kindness, and even ends every episode with the message “Be kind to one another,” the rumors of how Ellen herself treats others has turned many people against her.
As a result, sources have claimed the famous host is “at the end of her rope.” Keep reading for everything you need to know!
A recent Twitter thread invited people to comment on their experiences with the famous host, and many accused her of being the opposite of kind.
The thread started with a tweet from Kevin T. Porter: "Right now we all need a little kindness. You know, like Ellen Degeneres always talks about! She’s also notoriously one of the meanest people alive. Respond to this with the most insane stories you’ve heard about Ellen being mean & I’ll match every one w/ $2 to @LAFoodBank."
The tweets came flooding in. One user wrote, "She has a "sensitive nose" so everyone must chew gum from a bowl outside her office before talking to her and if she thinks you smell that day you have to go home and shower."
Another wrote, "Was wrking on a show @ WB that was next to her stage. Was our showrunner's 50th Bday. Caterer grilling steaks outside for special fancy lunch. Ellen sent someone over to demand they stop, as she doesn't eat meat. She's the worst."
Nikkie de Jager, also known as NikkieTutorials, also spoke out about how she was treated when she was a guest on the Ellen Show.
The beauty blogger explained to &C Magazine, "Maybe I'm being naive, but I expected them to welcome me with confetti: 'Welcome to The Ellen DeGeneres Show!' But instead I got greeted by an angry intern, who was a bit overworked. I expected a Disney show, but I got a 'Teletubbies' after dark."
She continued, "Every guest at Ellen had a private toilet, but I didn't. I couldn't even use the closest toilet to me because it was reserved for the Jonas Brothers."
Ellen has not responded to any of these accusations, but a source told Us Weekly that they have taken a toll: "Ellen is at the end of her rope. She thought this was all just sour grapes from a few haters. But it’s not a passing thing—the hits just keep coming."
