Best Buy is giving employees pandemic-related bonus, while the company is in the middle of layoffs. What is happening!

The electronic company announced that it will give hazard pay bonuses to to hourly employees, while laying off “some store staff as part of a company reorganization,” CNBC reports.

The Minnesota-based chain is also offering workers a more lenient time-off policy amid the novel coronavirus. Well, that’s something!

The company previously gave workers an appreciation pay to hourly store and supply chain employees in 2020. In August, it raised its minimum wage to $15 an hour amid the difficult year for many American families.

The company declined to comment on how many workers will be affected by the layoffs.
