As recent rumors began swirling and circulating that Zendaya might be pregnant, the Euphoria star headed to Instagram to set the record straight with her 145 million followers. In a story post last week, Zendaya, 25, explained to fans that she is not only not pregnant, but also understandably sick of misinformation about her personal life being spread on Twitter and elsewhere.

From tweets suggesting that the Dune actress might be having a child with her boyfriend Tom Holland, 25, to viral Tik Tok videos that featured doctored ultrasound photos made to look like Zendaya had posted them, many fans seemed convinced that she was planning to become a mom. On her Instagram story several days after the rumors began trending, Zendaya wrote, “See now, this is why I stay off Twitter.” She then spoke directly to those who had facilitated the rumor, “Just making stuff up for no reason weekly.”

The Spider-Man: No Way Home star didn’t let it get her down, though, as she posted a follow-up story letting fans know that she is currently hard at work on her next film. “Anyway back to filming Challengers,” she continued in the next slide with a tennis ball emoji. Zendaya is set to play a tennis player and coach in the upcoming Luca Guadagnino-directed romantic sports drama. She is currently filming the movie in Boston.

As one half of one of the cutest and most talked-about celebrity couples in Hollywood, it’s sadly almost expected that Zendaya would face pregnancy rumors at some point. The former Disney Channel alum is dating her Spider-Man co-star Holland, and the two appeared to confirm their relationship in summer of 2021 after being photographed kissing in a car by paparazzi. Since then, they have been spotted hanging with each other’s friends and families and paid homage to each other in loving IG posts and with PDA when attending events together.

While their union has been long-awaited (fans picked up on their noticeable chemistry as early as 2017 when they were ‘just friends’), some fans took to Twitter to remind others that spreading rumors about their bond is not okay. “We all love Z and Tom, and it makes no sense to spread lies that she’s pregnant,” wrote one user while another added, “your real fans wouldn’t make things like this up!” to Zendaya. We couldn’t agree more!
