Zendaya seldom gets it wrong on the red carpet – or even when she’s off-duty. However, social media seemed divided over her recent look during the Dune: Part 3 promo trail, with many people likening her ensemble to a “loaf of bread.” True story!

The 29-year-old Euphoria star – who recently sparked Tom Holland marriage rumors after being spotted with a gold band on her ring finger – attended CinemaCon at the Dolby Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to promote the new movie. She appeared alongside co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Jason Momoa, and director Denis Villeneuve.

Zendaya Wears A Desert-Inspired Schiaparelli Look At CinemaCon

The Odyssey actress wore a desert-inspired sand-colored ensemble from Schiaparelli's Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection for the event. The look featured a jacket with exaggerated shoulders and a wide pointy collar, paired with a matching midi skirt.

The Louis Vuitton ambassador completed the monochrome look, styled by her friend and longtime collaborator Law Roach, with caramel-colored Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps and Bondeye Jewelry Piece by Piece hoops.

We know the Spider-Man: No Way Home actress loves dressing to a theme – from tennis-inspired attire for Challengers to white ensembles for The Drama – so stepping out in a sand-colored outfit reminiscent of dunes shouldn't come as a surprise. However, the internet wasn't convinced…

Internet Reactions

"My goodness, her outfit is hideous," slammed one Instagram user. "What on earth is she wearing?" asked a second. "Thought she was a loaf of bread," added a third, followed by three crying emojis.

"Yeah same, toast actually," replied a fourth, as a fifth echoed: "Same, was thinking more ciabatta." "She seems like a giant baguette," agreed a sixth, while a seventh asked: "Why does she low-key look like a beignet?" "That's an unfrosted Pop-Tart, mama," quipped an eighth, as a ninth simply said: "I don't like the skin suit." "Now who put this woman in a paper bag?" asked a tenth.

But of course, many fans were obsessed with the look and defended her bold style choice. "Z is beyond," raved one fan, followed by a twinkling stars emoji. "LOVE Zendaya!" exclaimed a second, as a third dropped multiple fire emojis.

"Her dress represents sand – so obvious to me, as in Dune… duh!" hinted a fourth, while a fifth said: "No one does method dressing like Z!" "Zendaya is brilliant; only those who don't understand her don't appreciate it," a sixth chimed in. "Another win for Law and Zendaya! The concept is concepting and I LOVE!" praised a seventh, as an eighth added: "Zendaya is effortlessly beautiful even when wearing human skin. Her talent as an actress means everything."
