Marlo Hoffman is the co-owner of Psychobaby, one of our favorite one-stop-shops for all things hip and trendy for kids—think Grateful Dead and Beatles dresses, Rockabye Lullabye CDs and baby gifts galore with a rocker twist. She is also mom to three boys, Oliver, Grey, and Jasper, although occasionally it feels like four if you include her husband, Jonathan. She has accepted and embraced the fact that her life consists of what she calls “joyous chaos,” has a parenting style that can best be described as an “unpredictable kid-centric approach,” and she wouldn’t trade a single messy, slimy minute of it.
Here’s what the savvy mom wants for Mother’s Day:
The Great Remember 196-tile design: Over the years I have agonized when the moment came to take down one of my sons’ drawings from the fridge! What do you do with it? Put it in a book? Store it away? This is a beautiful way to keep your kiddos’ masterpieces forever.
Dirty Little Secrets from Otherwise Perfect Moms: The title alone cracks me up. Honesty and humor are necessary when you become a parent. Yet, I often see too many moms that are unable to admit that they are not perfect and then, god forbid, laugh at themselves! Humor and honesty equals happier mama.
Car Lashes: These would make my pre-teen boys crawl under their seats at carpool! Love! (I did say humor is necessary above.)
Leaning Tower of TEAsa: Maybe it’s my Italian roots, but I flipped out when I saw this whimsically designed tea set.
Helen Ficalora Jewelry: I am praying my husband reads this because I can’t possibly leave any more brochures and elbow prods! I just love the simple design of the charms.
