Yes, I am well aware how… unattractive this toy is. But I think that’s the point. If I were a kid, I’d probably be terrified of this thing, but for some reason kids are going crazy for it. Even my 2-year-old, who’s normally a total scaredy cat, was totally mesmerized by this thing in Target. So moms, I’m telling you now… better get Imaginext’s Bigfoot the Monster asap because it is probably going to sell out this season. It’s definitely going to be a top 2010 Christmas toy.
What’s so great about it? Well, Bigfoot isn’t your standard action figure. First of all, he’s huge–he’s over a foot tall! But size aside, Bigfoot talks, walks and even stands on his head. Your child controls all 80 of his actions and phrases with a cool little remote. And I have to admit that during the demo, even I was entertained. It is a really cool toy.
One word to the wise, though: don’t leave this thing sitting out at night. I would hate to see that face staring back at me in a dark room.
Price: $85
