There’s no way to avoid the fact that at some point you’re going to graze your favorite top or jacket or dress with a pen at one point or another, but don’t get discouraged. You don’t have to live with that unsightly ink stripe or blob for long! There are a few simple of ways to get rid of that stain fast. So if you’ve just swiped yourself with an ink pen, here are a few simple steps to make that ink disappear.

1.Blot away any excess ink. Before you do anything, grab a cotton ball, a cloth or a paper towel and dab (don’t rub!) at any excess ink to get rid of as much as you can.

2.Get an alcohol-based solvent. Grab that bottle of alcohol that has been sitting on the shelf, and pour a couple of drops on the garment depending on how big the stain is. Let it dissolve into the stain. Then, try blotting at the stain again to absorb the ink. Repeat these steps as needed.

3.Throw it in the wash. Lastly, always make sure to wash the item of clothing with laundry detergent as soon as possible to get out the alcohol that you used and to ensure that the stain is gone for good.
