Mr. Potato Head looks innocent enough, but my 21 month-old daughter freaks out whenever she sees him. Maybe it’s because he has big, googly eyes. Or maybe it’s because her big brother likes to take Mr. Potato’s big, googly eyes out of his head…and replace them with his feet, ears or nose.
I guess it’s not surprising since research has shown that babies prefer looking at attractive faces over unattractive faces, and Mr. Potato Head is on the ugly side. So poor Mr. Potato Head has been banished from the play room.
