The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023

The blogs are all abuzz about Governor Sarah Palin, John McCain’s running mate.  After her speech at the RNC, everyone seems a bit fascinated with the former beauty pageant contestant/news anchor/Governor-now-VP-nominee.  Toting a firearm as an accessory, bringing tough talk about the future, and possibly bringing sexy back (was it ever there?) to the campaign trail, the world appears very interested in every aspect of Gov. Palin, including her look.

This is definitely someone who formed her style in the 1980’s: jackets constructed with shoulder padding, hair piled on her head banana-clip style, an affinity for very obvious highlights, and enough makeup to withstand a day on the set of any daytime soap. With her geek chic appeal glasses crossed with Ivana Trump’s late 80’s wardrobe and cosmetics, one wonders – is there a contingent of women who want someone that not only sounds relatable but looks like you might run into her at your local chain restaurant?

One product she appears to use that still has staying power from the 80’s: mousse. This product is making a huge comeback backstage when it comes to putting volume back in hair styles.  Kill two birds with one stone with Samy Icing Instant Re-styler Mousse & Hairspray All in One ($4.49), a combination of two products designed to boost and hold your hair but leave it bouncing and behaving.

So, with Michelle Obama bringing Camelot Classic and Sarah Palin countering with her Flyover State Fabulosity, we’re interested to see how things shape up on the campaign trail. We will keep you posted as the Race in ’08 continues.
