Face it, UGG®s aren’t going anywhere. Celebs like Sienna Miller and Pam Anderson still sport them regularly and keep the utterly-unfashionable footwear in the spotlight. Even better than that celebrity-style duo is UGG®’s partnering with St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital for the fourth annual Art & Sole Collection. Stars lend their artistic talents to create one-of-a-kind UGG® boots, which are then auctioned off with the proceeds going to St. Jude. Last year, more than $40,000 was raised—pennies compared to the $500 million in free medical care and research that St. Jude provides annually to children suffering from horrible diseases. No family is turned away from the organization, which was founded in 1962 by Danny Thomas, father of Marlo Thomas. This year there some high-powered names — Matthew McConaughey, Ashton Kutcher, Betsey Johnson, Kelly Ripa, Christina Milian, Debra Messing, Romero Britto and Kelly Preston — working their wiles on the boots, which go up for sale for two weeks starting today, on UGG® Australia’s site.
