The Tribeca Film Festival began as a way to revitalize the community of lower Manhattan post-9/11. It brings out the die-hard celebrity New Yorkers who wouldn’t normally walk the red carpet (Ethan Hawk). Now, five years later, Robert De Niro’s celebration doesn’t even fit downtown. The venues, screenings, and support events have spread throughout the city including the Ziegfeld where Tom Cruise and Laurence Fishburne hopped on top of an SUV to greet screaming (but carefully controlled hoards) at the U.S. premiere of Mission Impossible: III. You can check out which films took home the goods at tribecafilmfestival.org. You can find out what goodies the stars took home just for partying right here. New Yorker’s like Kate Hudson and Liv Tyler scored JBL On Stage Speakers.
You can get yours on sale at Amazon, they’re designed for your Gen 5 iPod or iPod nano.
Stars also snagged scrumptious Calypso Christiane Celle candles, Alex and Ani bangles, and gear from Jay-Z’s Rocawear. If you want to sip like a star, order your next drink with Van Gogh- vodka, that is. I imbibed a tongue-tingling melon concoction at the festival launch party that left me longing for more. Until next year…
