If you’re planning a trip to the drive-thru or perhaps splurging on an Uber Eats delivery tonight, there’s one caveat about fast food cleanliness that you should know NOW.
Fast food workers, particularly those at Burger King, warn that the sauce at the food chain might not be as, um, tasty as you would think.

On a Reddit thread titled “Fast food employees, what’s one item on your respective chain’s menu that you will absolutely not eat under any circumstances?” one user pointed out that the sauce containers at the chain, used for making sandwiches, can be unhealthy for a variety of reasons.
For one, they might not be the cleanest. “Sauce bottles would never get completely emptied and cleaned,” chimed in one user self-described as a “former BK employee of 6 years.” Yikes!

Another confirmed that Burger King’s Stacker Sauce had some quality control issues. “Watching the paste turn different shades over the course of a night shift was pretty gross,” user MrSqueegy added to the thread last month.
Others pointed out that the sauces are packed with sugar, which is less of a cleanliness concern and more of one for your waistline.

“Fast food bbq sauce of course has sugar,” pointed one user. So true!
