The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023

Christian Louboutin designed a version of the Cinderella glass slippers, but Maison Martin Margiela‘s are the real deal. While the Loubs use lace to create the transparent quality, Margiela’s really are made from glass. Also, you can’t buy the Louboutin’s since they were part of a giveaway with Disney last year, but you can actually buy the Margiela heels. These limited edition shoes are sold per piece, not as a pair. You can either buy one individually for $1,290 or $2,578 for both shoes.

It kind of makes sense that Margiela would be the brand behind these Cinderella-inspired glass heels. The label is known for its extreme, conceptual designs and turning the unexpected into “fashion” (like candy wrappers and camel toes). So it’s no surprise that Margiela would design glass slippers that not only reference a whimsical fairy tale, but also technically can’t be worn, because, you know, they’re glass.
