For as long as I can remember, I've had a passion for nutrition and wellness. This passion led me to become a Registered Dietitian, pursue a Masters in Clinical Nutrition at NYU, launch a wellness blog All Good Eats, and now counsel patients through my private practice, Nutrition by Nathalie. My philosophy follows a clean-eating, mostly plant-based lifestyle, packed with organic, whole foods full of big flavor. I guide my clients through these techniques, and now I'm sharing with you how I practice them at home. My fridge is always stocked with the good stuff--I'm happiest when I eat food that's not just nutritious, but that tastes great, too. You'll find a list of not only healthy, waist-friendly ingredients, but ones that make killer recipes, too.

So, what are they??

Avocado.

Avocado is super high in healthy monounsaturated fats. It's super fuel for the heart and brain! Also loaded with fiber, helping to stabilize blood sugar levels and promote weight control.

Kale.

I use this superfood in everything and everything. Kale is a key ingredient in my daily juices and smoothies, raw in salads, and sautéed and added to pasta. Kale is loaded with vitamins and minerals and is high in fiber which helps us feel fuller longer. It is one of my favorite detoxifying foods. I get it in everyday.

Almond milk

A necessary ingredient in my morning coffee! Dairy free, naturally rich in various vitamins and minerals and healthy fats.

Pineapple

One of my favorite fruits! Pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain which helps us break down proteins and has some serious anti inflammatory effects.

Eggs

Nature's perfect animal protein source. They have a biological value of 100, containing all the essential amino acids in the right ratios. Easy to whip up and doesn't go bad in your fridge quickly! Oh, and you should always eat the whole egg--not just the whites!
