We’ve never met a Trader Joe’s product we didn’t like, but we have a special place in our hearts for Cookie Butter. Seriously, how is this stuff so good? If you’ve never tried it before, it’s a ground up butter (similar to peanut butter, but better), made from those delicious Belgian Biscoff cookies. Basically, it knocks Nutella and peanut butter out of the park. Need we say more? We’re perfectly content eating it by the spoonful from the jar, but if you’re looking for ways to cook with this delicious stuff, read on for 11 amazing recipe ideas.
1. Cookie Butter Muddy Buddies (via Mama Miss)
If you’ve never had muddy buddies before (a glorious combination of Chex cereal, chocolate, and powdered sugar), you are missing out. This recipe upgrades this easy no-bake recipe in a major way: with the addition of cookie butter and white chocolate.
2. Chocolate Biscoff Cups (via The Gunny Sack)
Supposedly, Trader Joe’s makes cookie butter cups, which are essential peanut butter cups that swap out the PB for the cookie butter. Supposedly. However, I can never seem to find them at my local Trader Joe’s, which is the ultimate struggle. These DIY chocolate cookie butter-filled confections just might fix that problem, though!
3. Cookie Butter Morning Buns (via Lemon Tree Dwelling)
Cookie butter for breakfast? You better believe it. This recipe is flakey, delicious goodness and is actually a lot easier to make than it looks – it uses classic Pillsbury Crescent Rolls to speed up the process.
4. Cookie Butter Latte (via One Ingredient Chef)
Of course, you’ll need so caffeine to go with your breakfast – and while you have the cookie butter out, you might as well add some to your latte.
5. Sugar Cookie Cookie Butter Bars (via Wine and Glue)
Double the cookies, double the fun! These layered cookie bars involve a sugar cookie base, a cookie butter layer in the middle, and chocolate to top it all off. Seriously.
6. Cookie Butter Popcorn (via Major Hoff Takes A Wife)
Move over, movie theater butter – I’d definitely prefer some cookie butter on my popcorn instead. All you’ll need is some popcorn (seriously, even the microwavable kind is fine!), cookie butter and butter. So. Easy.
Who likes @traderjoesgrocery Speculoos Cookie Butter? Who likes popcorn? Who likes easy???? Seriously. 5 Minute Cookie Butter Popcorn. Tastes gourmet, even if it's only 2 simple steps. The addition of the banana makes this kind of healthy, right? (Or, at least that’s what we’ll keep telling ourselves.)
8. Cookie Butter Waffles (via Belle Vie)
Honestly, this recipe might make me never want to go out to eat for brunch ever again (and I take my brunch seriously.) There’s even a cookie butter syrup recipe to go with it. Pro tip: strawberries on top of this is the ultimate game-changer.
9. Speculoos Cookie Butter Baked Oatmeal (via Healthy Food For Living)
You may think you don’t like oatmeal – but chances are you’ll probably like this cookie butter-infused oatmeal. We can’t think of a better way to start the day.
10. Chocolate Chip Biscoff Cheesecake Bites (via A Treats Affair)
Chocolate. Cookie butter. Cheesecake. Need we say more? These cheesecake bits are a little more on the complicated side, so you’ll need to set a decent amount of time aside to make them. Worth it? Completely.
11. Cookie Butter Milkshake-tini (via Wine and Glue)
Of course, always save the best for last. We’re pretty sure this milkshake-esque, boozy cookie butter creation is exactly what we never knew we needed in our lives.
