You can use your iPhone's settings app to determine how much battery each app is using. Just navigate to Settings > Battery and scroll down. You'll find that some of the apps you use most, like texts and email typically only use 2% to 5% of your phone's battery, while a non-Apple web browser can use up much, much more.
Most people tend to use Google Chrome as a web browser, even though Apple's Safari comes pre-loaded onto your iPhone. Chrome is very convenient as it saves your history and passwords across all devices. But this convenience comes at a cost to your battery.
If you have the Google Chrome app on your iPhone, it's probably using at least 10% of the battery while just on in the background, even more if you use it for casual web browsing.
If you can do without Chrome, delete it from your phone and only use it on your computer. This can save you a ton of battery life. If you prefer to keep Chrome on your phone, just remember to close out the app every time you finish with it so it doesn't use too much power in the background.
