Things aren’t looking good for A$AP Rocky right now. Following last month’s rumors that he and Rihanna – who is currently pregnant with their first child – had split due to him allegedly cheating on her with celebrity shoe designer Amina Muaddi, which came just a few days before he was detained at Los Angeles International airport in connection with a non-fatal shooting in 2021, the 33-year-old “Praise the Lord (Da Shine)” rapper has hit the headlines yet again – this time for allegedly sliding into a 45-year-old British mom-of-three’s DMs while he was dating the 34-year-old Fenty Beauty founder. *Omg!*
The fresh cheating allegations have come from paddle-boarding instructor Jilly O’Donnell, who reportedly told The Sun that she and the rapper – real name Rakim Mayers – had been secretly messaging each other for months after he initially “bombarded her with flirty messages,” according to the outlet, on social media back in December 2021. O’Donnell said that she “had absolutely no idea who he was,” and had to ask her daughters, who are 19 and 17 years old, to confirm his identity. “I saw there was a blue tick on his name on Instagram so I asked my daughters. They told me it’s Rihanna’s boyfriend and thought it was hilarious,” she said, adding that she told her two daughters and 22-year-old son, “Your mom might be 45 but she’s still got it.” She then added: “We’ve all been in stitches about it.”
One of the messages the rapper allegedly sent her involved arranging to fly her to Ukraine so they could both meet. He allegedly said: "I'm down, would you be down to meet me in Ukraine? If I sort it out I could arrange for u to be there when I get there." She responded: "I can’t get to Ukraine haha, I can’t even afford Xmas after lockdown last year. Plus the Prime Minister is a fat useless [expletive] so no one is allowed anywhere. You should come here. Ukraine sounds freezing." He then allegedly replied: "What you guys can't travel anywhere???? That sucks. I just got here. Freezing my [expletive] off. The gym here is beautiful though." He then added: "Man, I got so fat in the past week. Wish we could have worked out."
Despite replying to his messages, she told The Sun that there was "no way" she would "have flown out to meet him in Ukraine," but speculated that other women may have been tempted due to his fame. According to O'Donnell, she and the rapper allegedly stopped talking to each other one month ago, which may be why she has decided to finally break her silence. She could have also decided to open up to the press about the alleged communication following last month's rumor that the "Diamonds" singer actually ended things with the father of her unborn child after she allegedly found out that he had cheated on her (allegedly, of course) with Muaddi.
Louis Pisano, an influencer with over 21,000 Twitter followers, was one of the first people to post the break-up rumor about the couple. "Rihanna and ASAP Rocky have split," his tweet, which was posted from his @LOUIS_via_ROMA Twitter account on April 14th, began. "Rihanna broke up with him after she caught him cheating with shoe designer Amina Muaddi."
Pisano continued to tell his followers everything he knew about the rumors in a few more tweets about Muaddi, who currently lives in Paris and has worked with big names such as Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber, as well as Rihanna herself. He added: "Amina was responsible for designing Fenty’s footwear offering and Rihanna is often seen in custom shoes from her own label." In another tweet, Pisano said: "ASAP & Amina is not new though as she was seeing him years ago and also collaborated with him on a collection of shoes." He added: "Things apparently hit the fan at Craigs in LA."
As expected, Twitter was rife with comments about the rumored break-up and cheating allegations. "Forget the fact that she is Rihanna, cheating on a woman pregnant with your kid is insane lowkey," one Twitter user wrote. "Ladies be careful of that one friend who always posts you and your partner, usually with the caption ‘My people’. Snake that one. #cheating Rihanna / ASAP Rocky / Amina Muaddi," commented another. "I don’t think asap rocky cheated on rihanna because she’s a caribbean woman and he’s alive," another user joked. "Ido not believe Asap Rocky cheated on Rihanna. i refuse to believe he’s that dumb," wrote another Twitter user. "Asap Rocky Cheating on Rihanna is a huge embarrassment for men we personally do not recognize him," wrote another.
It's important to note that at present, neither the "We Found Love" singer nor the "Good for You" rapper have commented on the rumors, but Muaddi took to Instagram on April 15th to issue a lengthy statement on the matter. "I've always believed that an unfounded lie spread on social media doesn't deserve any response or clarification, especially one that is so vile," Muaddi wrote on her Instagram Story. "I initially assumed that this fake gossip—fabricated with such malicious intent—would not be taken seriously. However, in the last 24 [hours], I've been reminded that we live in a society that is so quick to speak on topics, regardless of factual basis and that nothing is off limits. Not even during what should be one of the most beautiful and celebrated times in one's life."
"I have to speak up as this is not only directed towards me, but is related to people I have a great amount of respect for," she continued. "While Rih is continuing to live her serene, best dressed pregnancy life and I go back to my business—I wish everyone a beautiful Easter weekend."
