All apps are not equal in terms of how they affect your iPhone’s battery — and some are genuine battery killers. If you’ve noticed your phone stalling lately and aren’t sure how to remedy the situation, one of the fastest solutions can be to delete a few apps that are known as battery-draining culprits. According to Tech Expert and Writer Arman Mardhani at Technographx.com , these are the four battery-draining apps you should stop using ASAP.

1. Snapchat

“if you are a snap freak, you want to know where your friends are, for which you need to turn on your location — which is the main reason why it sucks a lot of battery,” Mardhani  says. “The location feature runs in the background for continuously checking the location. Turn off your location when you are not using Snapchat to save your battery from draining.”

2. Netflix

“If you like to watch movies and series online then keep a power bank next to you because this app is going to drain your battery,” Mardhani  notes. “It will drain your battery according to what amount of time you spend on Netflix. Streaming high-quality content with high brightness is the main reason why Netflix is draining your phone battery.”

So now that you know Safari could be a battery-killing culprit, what can you do about it?

While Google is still the world’s favorite search engine of choice (which is why Apple uses it on their phones), Dibella says if you want to prolong the battery life of your iPhone, close every open window after you’ve found what you’re looking for.  “As soon as you start doing that, you’ll notice a marked improvement in your battery and how long your iPhone lasts between charges,” Dibella says.
