However, the supermodel recently underwent quite a shocking transformation for Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2022 fashion show in New York City, leaving fans everywhere begging the question: “Bella what happened?”
Bella shared a series of backstage photos showing off the edgy look to her Instagram account this past Tuesday, tagging Marc Jacobs in the caption. The first thing that stands out is the fact that her eyebrows are nowhere to be found, and a good bit of her hair is missing too. Rather than her standard, natural locks, Bella wore a wig cap and jet-black wig to create the illusion of a striking bowl cut with micro-bangs. Of course, her backstage style was chic as ever. In the pics, Bella is wearing a white, bow-embellished tank, distressed split-color jeans, and a black zip-up hoodie.

Personally, we think she looks cooler than ever with this dramatic high-fashion makeover, but we can understand why her followers may have been shocked. “Bella what did they do to you babe,” one fan questioned. “I love you but what is this,” another wrote. “Tell me it’s a wig,” one person begged. Another commenter went as far as to call the look a “jumpscare.” Aw, come on!
Luckily, there were plenty of other people who understood the vision and showed their support; “I love you anyways,” one assured her, and another follower even said the Kin Euphorics co-founder is the “only person who can rock this look,” which we have to say we agree with. And, of course, none other than Marc Jacobs himself chimed in to praise the beauty. “Thank you dear Bella! I love you,” he wrote.

If you ask us, the unconventional look really shined on the runway, complimenting the striking, futuristic designs of Marc Jacobs. Bella wore a large, ruffled black gown that brought the whole punk-inspired look together.
If you hated this look on her, though, don’t worry—her eyebrows were only covered by a bald cap, and the undercut was only a wig, after all. We, however, will be keeping our fingers crossed for more edgy makeovers to come.
