This year’s BET Awards saw some pretty exciting appearances from today’s biggest celebrities, from legends like Mariah Carey to trending newcomers like Doechii. Many of them stepped out to the music event in gorgeous outfits that we can’t get over.
The important awards ceremony, which honors influential people in Black culture, was held in Los Angeles on June 9th and had big stars dressed to the nines, representing all sorts of fashion trends. There were sheer dresses, sparkling ensembles, and exciting two-pieces that captured photographers and fans’ attention. The famous singer and talk show host looked ravishing at the awards ceremony, strutting her stuff on the red carpet in a long black dress with an eye-catching leg slit. The dress hugged her curves and cinched just above her waist. It had exaggerated shoulders and long sleeves that added a slightly dramatic element.
The Dreamgirls actress wore her long black hair in a slicked-back, low ponytail with curls at the end. She accessorized her dramatic black dress with an impressive diamond necklace with a large jewel in the middle and dangling diamond earrings. Her look was very classy and gave old Hollywood glamour.

The hilarious actress has been showing up at several events this year, including the Met Gala, in super chic looks, but this one is already a favorite of ours. She arrived at the Peacock Theater in L.A. wearing a sparkling, bodycon mini dress that had a fun layer of extra tulle in the back.
The tight dress hugged her petite frame, and the top half was made of light, sheer material that covered her chest with gold sparkles. She got to flaunt her curvy figure as the dress hugged her waist and ended high on her thighs. The Disney alum's hair was styled in a very cute, auburn bob and a classic pair of black high heels.
Doechii
The superstar rapper arrived at the BET Awards in a two-piece outfit that screams summer and slightly leans into the cowgirl aesthetic that's trending right now. She wore a vibrant, red-orange strapless corset top and matching skirt completed with two brown and gold belts that draped across her waist.
She paired the colorful look with killer accessories, including stylish sunglasses, a series of brown and gold bracelets, large hoop earrings, and strappy heels with a purple flower in the center. The "Denial Is A River" artist had her hair styled in long braids and tied them into a dramatic ponytail that went all the way down to her feet.
Mariah Carey
While the iconic 90s diva may have skipped the red carpet, she stepped out onto the stage at the Peacock Theater in a fabulous glitter-covered floor-length gown to accept this year's BET Ultimate Icon Award. The singer's dress was a white-silver shade and made from a glittery fabric that sparkled with every step she took. The top half was built like a corset, hugging her curves and complementing her figure.
The "Emotions" vocalist wore chunky silver bracelets and an elegant diamond necklace to accessorize the gown. She wore her long, sandy-colored locks down and straightened with half of them pinned back, creating a simple yet very effective look for her milestone award that she was given after 35 years of success.
Kerry Washington
The Scandal actress was a very stunning figure on the BET Awards red carpet last night, as she wore an Oscar de la Renta dress with a fascinating print. The top of the ankle-length dress was figure-hugging and similar to a corset top, while the skirt was poofy, creating a silhouette that was satisfying to look at and super elegant.
Kerry had her black hair styled in a voluminous, wavy long bob and a large, diamond statement necklace. The rest of her accessories were classy and straightforward, including a pair of open-toe black heels, two rings, and a dark red manicure, allowing the busy pattern on the dress to do all the talking.
