Every woman knows that your hair can do a lot for your appearance. Whenever you want to change something up, a new cut or color can make a world of difference.
You can even make yourself look younger by simply changing the way you style your hair. Some stylists have suggested dyeing your hair a darker color or cutting it shorter to achieve a more rejuvenated look – yet you can even try some at-home styling tips to make your hair do more for your look.
And according to Kali Ferrara, hair stylist at The Salon Project in New York City, the half-up hairstyle is the way to go.
"Keeping hair off of your face and adding a bit of height brings the eye upward and offers a more youthful look," Ferrara told SheFinds. "Curls also keep the style more playful and current."
And this look is very easy to style yourself! Ferrara broke it down into a few simple steps for us:
She explained, "You can easily achieve by using a1-1.5 inch curling iron, curl the entire head in sections. Tease the crown and using hair pins fasten the crown in a twist, follow up by securing the other curls in the same general point on the head, less tension will add more whimsy, more with add severity. Hair spray and to secure criss cross bobby pins over one another as this will lock them in place."
