4. Glucosamine

“Glucosamine is a building block for skin-plumping hyaluronic acid,” Patricia Farris, MD, clinical associate professor of dermatology at Tulane University, says. A study published in the The Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology found that glucosamine can accelerate wound healing, improve skin hydration, and decrease wrinkles when taken as a supplement.
