Beyoncé was moved to tears while witnessing her and Jay-Z’s eldest child, Blue Ivy, record voiceovers for the upcoming Mufasa: The Lion King film. Queen Bey, 43, was featured in a video this week with her 12-year-old daughter, shared on social media by Good Morning America. The footage shows Beyoncé, who lends her voice to Nala, and Blue, who voices Princess Kiara in the prequel, recording in separate studio rooms with headphones on.

In the GMA clip, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer says: “We’re here today recording the Lion King.” She sat beside her child Blue. Later on, as the two are seen recording, Blue says to her mother: “Don’t stare at me.” The “16 Carriages” artist then replies: “I can’t help it. You’re just too beautiful, girl. I’ma be right here closing my eyes.” Blue expressed her continued amazement at the news that she will appear in the Disney movie.

Blue then said: “If I, like, told my younger self that I was going to be in a movie, I’d like, never believe myself.” The “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” hitmaker responded: “Well, you are, girl. You are!” The Grammy winner then became emotional as she described the profound experience of hearing her daughter’s voice in the recordings for the first time.

“Seeing Blue as Kiara and hearing her voice come out of that character… Give me a second ’cause I’m still just — I can’t believe that’s my baby!” she said.

Beyoncé (who also shares 7-year-old twins Rumi and Sir with her husband Jay-Z, 55) continued: "That’s so amazing."

The Cowboy Carter songstress said it was "really hard to focus" while watching Blue at work. "I was like, ‘Wait. Hold up, guys. Y’all gotta give me a second. I have to digest that. I’m so proud of her,'" she noted.

Blue mentioned that lending her voice to the character for the film (out in US theaters on December 20th) has been a "great experience." The pre-teen praised director Barry Jenkins for his invaluable support throughout. "I’m really happy for girls that look like me … are able to watch this movie and hear and see themselves in it," she shared.

The video concluded with Beyoncé expressing her admiration for her daughter and sharing her joy that "young brown girls" everywhere can find inspiration in the film. "No one is prouder than mommy," she remarked, planting a kiss on Blue's cheek.

Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Blue all attended the global premiere for Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood on Monday, December 9th.

The red carpet appearance took place just one day after the “Empire State of Mind” hitmaker (real name Shawn Corey Carter) was accused in a lawsuit of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

The "99 Problems" artist's name was added to an updated lawsuit by a woman who accused him and Sean "Diddy" Combs of sexually assaulting her when she was 13 years old in 2000. Jay-Z strongly refuted the accusations, calling them an attempt at extortion and encouraged the woman to pursue criminal charges rather than a civil lawsuit.

Combs, who is also 55, similarly denied the allegations. Last week, the "Big Pimpin'" rapper moved to have the rape lawsuit against him dismissed and requested that the accuser's identity be made public.
