Beyoncé Receives Cease And Desist
While it is hard to take your eyes off of Beyoncé while she’s performing, if you glance behind her during certain portions of the Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin Circuit Tour, there’s video visuals on the big screens. In the original interlude, Beyoncé can be seen towering over the Las Vegas skyline before she bends down and plucks the Las Vegas Sphere, holding it up for all to see.
But on May 4th, fans noticed that the mother-of-three held up Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium instead, which is where she finishes her tour in July. While this change is quite minor—some might not have even noticed—many did.
According to a cease-and-desist letter from Sphere Entertainment Group Co., Beyoncé used the Sphere’s imagery “without permission” and it amounted to “unauthorized use of the company’s intellectual property.”

Beyoncé's production and entertainment company, Parkwood Entertainment, made sure that everyone was aware the singer had no intentions of using the Sphere's intellectual property by posting a video of the new visuals in collaboration with Allegiant Stadium. With the caption. "What happens in Vegas starts with a BANG," fans were quick to catch Beyoncé's quiet shade.
"Bey really said, 'you want petty? here's petty,'" one person commented on the post.
"Parkwood is undefeated!" another person wrote. "Take that Sphere!"
"Watch when the Sphere slowly loses business and venues," another wrote. "It's going to be just another empty building. Love you Queen and Parkwood for handling it well!"
"This is some next level shade," one user added.
"She doesn't need the Sphere," a final fan wrote. "There is not even space in the Sphere for her quality!"
