Kanye West Posts An Apology Following His String Of Offensive Behavior & Outbursts
It's no secret that the "Stronger" rapper's career has taken a dramatic turn over the years, and while he's always been known for his outspoken attitude and occasional controversial moments, things got even worse and more intense over the last decade, as his outbursts turned into full-blown temper tantrums and a series of extremely offensive, anti-semetics posts and songs.
Throughout the years, since he divorced his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and married Yeezy designer Bianca Censori in 2022, more rumors and reports came out that she was trapped in a "controlling" relationship, with her husband telling her what to wear and how to act in public.
Following years of more and more troublesome behavior, last month, Kanye released a lengthy apology statement online for "those he hurt," blaming a brain injury for his mental troubles. "I lost touch with reality," he wrote.
Sources Say Bianca Reportedly Tried To Leave Her Marriage To Kanye Numerous Times
Amid the rapper's many scandals, public stints, and more, his wife, the 31-year-old, kept a fairly low profile, surprisingly staying by his side. However, insiders close to her and Kanye noted that she wasn't staying silent behind the scenes, and not only tried to get him help, but even attempted to leave.
"Bianca had been very unhappy in their marriage for a while and tried to get out a number of times," an insider told People, as another added that Kanye had "been in this vicious cycle for years.
"When he's not in a good space mentally, he tends to create so much drama, which then has lasting consequences," they continued. "And when he reaches a more stable place, he becomes very aware of the damage he's caused his family, friends, and himself. The awareness brings this intense guilt and regret, making it hard for him to stay emotionally healthy. He understands what he's done, and that weighs heavily on him. By the time he's feeling clearer, there's already so much fallout."
The award-winning musician acknowledged his wife in his apology statement, and explained that she was an integral part in getting him help from a rehab facility and keeping up the treatment practices in his everyday life.
"Toward the end of my four-month-long manic episode, my medication was changed," he wrote. "In that shift, the antipsychotic drug took me into a really deep depressive episode...[Bianca] recognized that, and we sought out what's been an effective and stabilizing course correction in my regime from a rehab facility in Switzerland."
We'll be curious to see what the future holds for the highly publicized couple, but for now, it looks like the rapper is trying to turn a new leaf.
