All eyes have been on Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga since the release of A Star is Born last year. Now, the public’s fascination with the movie couple has spiked again thanks to the news that Cooper and his longtime partner Irina Shayk have allegedly called it quits.

A source close to Cooper revealed that the attention that he and Gaga's chemistry had received caused a strain in his relationship with Shayk, citing that the Hangover star had become "emotionally absent."

“The rumors about Bradley and Gaga having a love affair didn’t help especially with his constant travels [promoting the film],” the insider told PEOPLE.
Another source stated that Cooper's focus shifted away from Shayk while working on A Star is Born. "Bradley wasn’t able to be the partner Irina needed during the filming and promoting of A Star Is Born. He was so focused on making sure it was perfect,” a source tells Us Weekly, adding that the two weren't getting along after the film wrapped.
The sources also revealed that they think Cooper and Gaga could potentially start dating once the hype surrounding his breakup dies down.
“He has a huge and overwhelming connection to Gaga, but whether it becomes a real love story in their lives for all the world to see is premature, and it’s difficult to speculate at this sensitive time," the original insider continued.
