Everyone is talking about Britney Spears as if it’s 2008 again. Fortunately, this time the conversation is way more sympathetic to the “Womanizer” singer. Following the release of The New York Times Presents documentary, “Framing Britney,” fans are more eager than ever to stand up for the star and support the #FreeBritney movement.
It’s not just fans who are speaking out. Sam Asghari, Brit’s beau of nearly 5 years, has also decided to speak out in support of the star.

On Feb. 8, Asghari told People that he was in complete support of his "better half."
"I have always wanted nothing but the best for my better half, and will continue to support her following her dreams and creating the future she wants and deserves," he explained. "I am thankful for all of the love and support she is receiving from her fans all over the world, and I am looking forward to a normal, amazing future together."

Asghari's message did not stop there. A day later, he reiterated his feelings on Instagram, leaving a pointed message for Britney's father, Jamie Spears. If you have not watched the documentary yet (or are a little behind on the who's who of the #FreeBritney movement), Jamie became the conservator of her estate in spite of the singer's wishes.
Still, it came as a surprise that Asghari would call him out so publicly--especially considering that Britney has not (at least, not yet). In the IG story, her beau called Jamie "a total d*ck," adding that he had "zero respect" for him.

However, Britney did post an Instagram around the same time, but she did not address the documentary's claims directly. Instead, the star captioned the post, "Remember, no matter what we think we know about a person's life, it is nothing compared to the actual person living behind the lens."
If you're wondering what this means, you are not alone. Luckily, it seems like most fans are content to wait patiently for Britney to explain the situation for herself. One commented, "Can’t wait for you to share your story," and the words gained over 11,000 likes.
